City Recognizes Griffith Park’s Past as Home of WWII Internment Camp

A historical plaque will be installed on April 20 at 10:30 am in Travel Town. Office Merril H. Scott supervised both Tuna Canyon Detention Station and Griffith Park Travel Town during WWII. Both held prisoners who were Japanese, German, and Italian aliens. Dr. Russell Endo from the University of Colorado collaborated with Griffith Park.
